Snapchat is rolling out a new feature called “Our Story,” which lets users share snaps into a collaborative timeline. Snapchat already offers the option to add snaps to “My Story” that your friends can view for 24 hours. Our Story builds on this concept and lets users collaborate on a photo/video collage.

Our Story works by adding an event to your friends list, like “EDCLive” as seen in the video above. An option to add your snap to “Our EDC Story” will show up at the top of the sharing menu. Snapchat relies on location services to verify that you’re actually at an event to add photos or videos. The company makes sure to mention it doesn’t store any location information, which is good after this year’s data breach.
Our Story is already built into the Snapchat app so there’s no need to update.
